The Observation Tower
The Architecture of Solitude: A fantastical architectural study into the psychological effect of living in solitude; far removed from societal life. The protagonist lives inside a lighthouse – many thousands of feet up in the air... Things move slowly up here. The incessant creaking of timber against the squalls of wind mark the passing of a time, which in calmer months is struck by the mechanical tick-tock of my watch, when the skies are still and the clouds hang silently, like puffs of mist suspended in a starkly empty expanse of eternal unmoving grey.
