The High Angle of Repose

Whether I insert myself in a foreign city or a frozen landscape, I question how the particulars of the site sculpt the peculiar relationship with the piece and surroundings. Rather than executing concrete ideas in a familiar setting, I make art in an unexpected situation where I could stumble upon intimate encounters and unexplainable accidents. Using my work as a form of creative research, I explore the sense of belonging and displacement in contemporary culture.
